Boeing has won a contract allowing it to build up to 10.4 planes per month when it starts production of the new 777X jetliner in Everett. The contract is a world record for any wide body aircraft on a single production line.

The ruling saves insurance companies from having to rethink policies and prices. While some Republicans saw the ruling as a defeat, other saw sighed a breath of relieve knowing they wouldn't have to explain why Americans would have to lose their health care subsidies.

After World War II ended, Germany was divided into different sectors give the Allies and the Soviet Union different parts of the country to control. Berlin, while in the part of Germany under Soviet control was also divided like the rest of the country, was being strangled by Joseph Stalin's government to make the city entirely under Soviet control. On June 26, 1948 the U.S. and allies began to deliver important supplies via the air.
