GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump hosted SNL on Saturday and reports indicate that he brought the show its highest ratings in three years. The show saw a 57% jump from its usual seasonal average.
Trump's appearance brought in more views than Hillary Clinton's which was the season's previous highest.
Many in the Hispanic community tried to convince NBC to cancel Trump's appearance citing concerns that it will only bolster racism across the country. Some called for a boycott of the show, but Trump still ended up hosting.
However, some have said that the appearance hurt Trump rather then helped him. One CNN commentator called it "painfully unfunny." The commentator, Michael Medved, said the sketch where SNL poked fun at what a hypothetical Trump presidency would look like hurt the credibility of Trump's campaign.
SNL also managed to make fun of the Deport Racism's offer to pay $5,000 to anyone who interrupted a Trump event and said "Trump's a racist." And while there were several skits that were not too funny, there is one that I will never be able to get out of my head:
